design is everywhere.

My first fascination with order began over 30 years ago with the printed page—the balance, structure, and flow.

I soon recognized the same principles in architecture and interior spaces, much like in a well-crafted letterhead or a logo that distills a company’s philosophy.

This same sense of intentionality guides the design of a yoga class, where movement and breath align to connect body and mind in harmony with one's environment—thus creating peace within the individual, home, and community.

newly designed, written, practiced and now...shared.

When Sarah Gardner, founder of Yoga Reaches Out, asked me to help turn Daily JAM into a journal, I was surprised and deeply honored. What began as a simple request to format her beautiful book for journaling quickly became a meaningful collaboration.

I was inspired by her personal, heartfelt writings and saw an opportunity to turn them into prompts that spark reflection and inspire peace—both within ourselves and in how we show up for others.

This journal is more than a space for self-reflection—it’s an invitation to connect, grow, and contribute to a more understanding world. It reminds us that while we are each unique, we share common joys, struggles, and the power to create change.

Alongside our dear editor, Barbara Perlo, and the talented cover artist, Hania Kuhri-Trapper, Sarah and I are deeply honored to share this journey with you.

May these pages spark new insights and inspire meaningful growth—within yourself and in the world around you.
